I am YUYA, born and raised in Japan, trained in the classical tradition of shodo — Japanese calligraphy — since childhood. What began as a discipline of patience and precision became a lifelong conversation between brush, ink, and meaning.
Japan Profound was born from a simple observation: the world was hungry for authentic Japanese kanji, but the internet was full of machine-generated approximations that looked right but felt hollow — or worse, were simply wrong.
Every name I convert is a small act of cultural translation. I consider the sound of your name, the meanings available in the kanji that approximate it, the aesthetic weight of each character, and the overall visual balance of the design. The result is not a transliteration. It is an interpretation — a version of you, rendered in an ancient script.
